Ronaldo is no longer arrogant before Atletico
Cristiano Ronaldo complained to the referee, raised his hand to show his displeasure with his teammates. He could not continue to sow sorrow for Atletico Madrid in the early morning match of 24/2 (Hanoi time).
When the first half of the match between Atletico and Man United was about to end, Ronaldo stood on the penalty spot. He shrugged, covered his face, and raised a finger to point at his teammates.
None of the Manchester United players on the pitch actually looked in the direction of the Portuguese forward. One finger of Ronaldo as implied for the loneliness of the 37-year-old player in the whole match.

lonely Ronaldo
Even if Bruno Fernandes or a few other close players want to support Ronaldo, what they can do is very little. Not only a few times in the last confrontation at the Wanda Metropolitano, Ronaldo slowly walked alone in the opponent's penalty area and shook his head. He does that quite often.
World football fans are too familiar with Ronaldo's "body language". He often shrugs, raises his hand to the sky when disgruntled with someone on the field. People who like Ronaldo say it shows the will to play. In some cases, CR7's gestures are said to not bring good signals to the team.
At the end of last year, coach Ralf Rangnick publicly asked Ronaldo to change his negative body posture and gestures on the field. It is not easy for Ronaldo to follow the request of the head coach of Man United. When the match against Atletico ended, the striker born in 1985 was the first Man United player to raise his hand to the sky to show disappointment.
He was disappointed perhaps not because his team won a draw against a difficult opponent. During the match, the Portuguese superstar also complained to the referee about the opponent's bad play.
Former MU midfielder Paul Scholes hinted that everyone knows Atletico are famous for playing hard, so when Man United are away on the opponent's field, they have to prepare for that.
"I think they were overwhelmed by Atletico in the first half," Scholes commented. "The MU players were surprised and didn't seem ready to face Atletico."
However, overall, Atletico is not only superior to MU because of the aggressive phases of the ball. The quality of the home team's play is slightly better than the Manchester club.
Many Man United players are certainly satisfied with the score 1-1 after 90 minutes. The Atletico players were even angry with themselves when they let Anthony Elanga score the equalizer. The Spanish capital team pressed Man United for most of the match.
The ball at least 3 times touches the wooden frame of the English club. David de Gea has a lucky day when he returns to the city where he was born. Man United's goalkeeper only had to go into the net to pick up the ball once. Fred, the hope in the midfield of Man United fans, had a tough day.
Raphael Varane, a teammate who used to give Atletico nightmares many times with Ronaldo in Madrid derbies, has a 50% pass accuracy rate after the game. From his status as one of the best central defenders in Europe, Varane became confused and down at his new club.
Scholes insists that he is not surprised by the inferiority of his old team when facing Atletico. "It was a typical Man United performance this season," said the former England star.
Scholes did not criticize the old team as harshly as usual. This expert tries to be calm because of the fact that in the past two months, Man United has played worse against many weaker teams than Atletico. Coach Diego Simeone's team is on a different level than Middlesbrough, Burnley or Southampton, opponents that make the "Red Devils" difficult.
